vacuum pump has 3 o rings no 2...
basically, the third one is here on the picture where it seems my pump is leaking, but I can't find it to buy it. real oem doesnt list it. After searching I saw the set only selling for MINI in US, but nothing listed for BMW. they basically want u to buy new vacuum pump...

I only discovered this leak when I blew smoke in the egr vacuum hose that was disconnected when I took off the intake and this small hose is leaking. it's not a big leak to lose all the vacuum I suppose, and I assume there is some other leak where I am losing vacuum and my brake is stiff now.
so for anyone it seems it's this green one. as you can see it's from mini Last edited by bmwdiesel; 01-16-2020 at 01:40 PM.. |

ok, am I asking for trouble for putting this on the leaking small o-ring above? I have changed the main O-Ring but the smoke still leaks from this black hose on the side of vacuum pump
anyone has an experience with sealing something similar? CAN IT BE SUCKED TO THE VACUUM PUMP? in that case I won't do it obviously, but there is a chamber for this hose and then it narrows, so it could seal it without it sucking inside, no? I cant get the replacement small o-ring and it's leaking.... Last edited by bmwdiesel; 01-20-2020 at 09:34 AM.. |

well I dont have that service here where I live tho and I dont want to remove in case I damage the old one and won't get the new one. I contacted sellers and they dont sell it. I put the gasket sealant on it opened it, I cut sides and left the layer only on the existing gasket and it is sealing good. I didnt start the car yet and hope it wont be sucked into the vacuum pump...
