Exhaust Valve and Aftermarket Exhaust

I swapped out my stock exhaust for the Bastuck Quads. I unplugged the sensor for the exhaust valve in the trunk, but do you think I should cap the vacuum line as well?

I unplugged the sensor in the trunk, however I took the car for service and indeed the DME stored a fault code. this is no big deal because all that the code says (tech explained it to me) is that exhaust flat activiation was tried but no response - meaning that flat was not closing.

if you don't want DME to record codes so dealer won't notice then I suggest going with the golf tee mod instead. I will now go to the exhaust underneath and plug that SOB....

Yes plug the hose with a ball bearing and goto a PEP BOYs and get a vacuum cap and plug it up with the ball bearing and last use some zip ties to ensure the vacuum cap won't fall off, then just push it into the undercarriage so there is only the end showing at the clip where the hose is held by!!

Plug it with something that will fit and zip-tie it out of the way, it has been proven more than once that the unplugged sensor will store a code (whoever thought it wouldn't isn't very bright).

No need to get a vacuum cap and zip ties.
Just insert the ball bearing in the hose and re-connect hose back onto the exhaust flap valve nipple - as explained in various other threads. Quick, simple and the most stealth factory looking !!

So will the ECU store a code if you do this fix with the aftermarket exhaust? How are most dealing with this issue?
