Think i blew a turbo today
while driving down the highway (120km) the car shook a bit, and the transmission light came on in orange....it drives like a 88 ford tempo...no power at all...barley starts. Had to have it towed to the dealership.....any ideas?

Limp mode. Do you have any turbo tuners installed?

It's not really an 'easy' fix as they have to take off the intake manifold and such. But it's not difficult since it's such a common issue now and the dealership can get the part in a day or two if they don't have it in stock.....compared to months about a year ago. Your car shouldn't be out of commission for more than 5 business days. This is assuming the high pressure fuel pump is the issue...which sounds like it from your description. Lost of power, threw a light, hard to start.

Why "315" if it is really your turbo blowing out?

Hey Jordan, that sucks bro! I've read up on all this before I bought the car but it's all covered under warranty so whatever. I'm sure you'll be back on the road in a couple days. Did you get your rims yet??

Quote:
The twin turbos ("Twins") that are found in our beloved 335's actually provide blow to us satisfied drivers rather than receive it. The work of providing turbo boost is shared between them. Thus, the Twins are able to provide an amazing blow job in order to allow the operator to experience the performance peaks of a forced induction engine. Therefore, when the OP writes of blowing a turbo, he means to suggest that he somehow managed to take the Twins beyond their limits. As it turns out, however, the failure was more than likely caused by his faulty fuel pump. |

You make it sound as if the car is candle powered.
