If you are leasing the car I would not even be putting a chip on the car. IF you bought it than the worst thing is they would void the warranty. If you lease the car and they find out about it or you blow the turbos or engine than you are in a heap of Sh#t! I would put that car back to stock before more trouble comes up. If you planned on modding the car you should have bought it instead of leasing it. This is simply not a good idea.

I feel you. Obviously I wasn't planning on modding the car. Well, maybe a little I don't think anyone has reported problems with the SSTT thus far and my fuel pump is solid after 10k miles. I've had the SSTT on the car now for a total of about 8k. Other members have had this tune since it's release. I think I'm solid, but trust me, I've thought about taking it off after all this recent fuss.

The SSTT is the "perfect" tune for lease vehicles and has a large amount of R&D put into it. Many members' cars on these boards are leases with moderate tunes.

If I experience ANY type of engine hiccup the product will be off the car. Period.

This is the most useless post I have ever seen. It makes absolutely no difference whether you lease or buy when modding. The warranty is the same, the repair costs are the same, the risks are the same..are you not still "in a heap of shit" if the turbos fail on the car you purchased? Either way, you're out 15 grand.

If you void the warranty but don't blow the engine up or turbos than that IS different when leasing. Try explaining to your dealer that you put on a piggyback when your contract says you are not to modify the car with a lease. I am sure they would be really excited that the car's warranty is/will be voided on a leased car. Useless? Get a clue. I can assume you leased your car.

The argument on modding vs waranty is like disucssing sex ed with my kids.

"Well dad I want to have promiscuous lifesyle with multiple partner, should I wear protection?", well you guys know better on this.

Son got the idea and ask again" well I ussually last 20-30 minute should I buy trojan extra protection or buy chinese made super sensitive rubber that may tear during...?" well again it's the risk you are willing to take buying mod, to go with extra protection or get that "feels" for less.

BTW, i didn;t imply leaser last only 7 minutes.
