question about oem ssk
There are two options on the Tischer website for the oem ssk. They are "E90 330i" and "E90/91/92/93 328i". What is the difference them? I have an e92 335i, so which one do I need exactly?
Thanks in advance |

Well, thats a tricky question. We are supposed not to install an SSK to 335i ,as the one available now in the market is for all other models but 335i.
The guys who installed it already ,are very happy about the feeling BUT may BMW is planning to release another SSK specificaly for 335i? I would also like to know the answer ,if anyone knows.

The guys at Tischer are the bomb, got my SSK (and other goodies) there.
I have an E92 335i and the SSK for the 330 works / fits perfectly. |

The difference in the two shifters is the height. The 328 version has a longer above the bushing height than the 330 version. If you want the shifter to sit lower than stock, purchase the 330 version. If you want the shifter to sit the same or slightly higher than stock, purchase the 328 version, but they both will fit. I got the 330 version for my 335xi.

I was really unhappy with the 330i version in my 335i. I found that it angled the shifter back, so that 1/3/5 gear were where neutral was with the stock shifter. It also increased the notchiness of the transmission, making it harder to shift. 1-2 just feels weird, since 2nd is now so far bad, I missed a couple of shifts because my elbow hit the armrest.
Some people like it, I just wasn't one of them. (Btw, I'll sell my lever for $45 + shipping, PM me if you're interested. Was on the car for a week, and 200 miles. I only have the lever, you may want to replace the white plastic cup and the clip, you can get those from tischer or your local dealer) |

Thanks all the input guys.
So, should I get the 330i one or the 328i one since I just got the M3sport shifter? I don't it to be too low, but still lower than the stock height. Thanks |
