2011 328i xdrive mSport with xenon package. This DIY worked like a charm, thank you so much for putting this together.

Just be patient when removing the wheel under cover. I did not remove the wheel. I turned the wheel all the way towards the direction of the light you are changing, and O jacked the car up enough to have plenty of room to work in there.

I've been doing a pre-LCI to LCI conversion with my e92, so I've bought new AHL LCI headlights. I wanted to swap the xenon bulbs from the old headlights, however the new lamps don't have any hooks at all and realoem does not list any mounting brackets.

Does anyone know how to mount a D1S with a socket like this?

Is the ballast accessible too? I’d rather not have to remove the bumper/headlight if I don’t need to.

Update: removed fender liner and ballast is accessible with some contortion. I do not have oil cooler radiator though.
