Whoo hoo! First coil replacement!
Got a check engine light on the way to work, car ran like crap. Pulled codes after work. Missfire on #4. Swapped the coil to #1 and the missfire moved. Got a new coil from Napa and it's running smoother than ever. 335xi with 104k. Not sure if any of em have been changed before or not. Plugs were changed about 8k ago by previous owner. I love easy fixes like this!

Buying a single coil is just putting a band aide on a future, bigger problem (5 more coils need to be replaced). Eldor Coils are the latest & greatest for the e90. You can get Bosch (OEM) for about $50 to 75.00 cheaper. I'd get them from FCP Euro w/ a lifetime warranty. |

Get yourself some new plugs and coils, a full set now, save yourself pain later.
FCP, lifetime replacement.

Yeah, I plan on getting a full set from fcp. I'll have to look at the box for the brand again. I feel lucky the parts store 1/4 mile away from work had one. I'm gonna go mhd 2+ once I do my down pipes and plan on doing plugs at the same time. Probbaly injectors not long after

All 6 coils should be replaced ideally, if one went the others will be on the way, Eldor coils failing that Delphi ones. |

MMP Downpipes & use the BMS gaskets for the downpipe & mid-pipe connection. MMP downpipes cost $200.00. I have these too. They work great! https://mmp-e.com/products/3-catless...2008-2009-2010 |

I have a set of arm down pipes waiting to go on. #4 misfire cam back last night. Thought maybe the plug got fouled when the coil shit out. Pulled out the plugs. They all looked good. Went to reinstallem and a dropped on on my garage floor. And just my luck it landed on the electrode. Ok let's try to bend it back, shit broke the ceramic. Only plugs I could find were the stock 3 printers. Put them in. Works great. And today the #4 missfire is back. Pulled the plug on 4 again, ok seemed kinda loose but looked good. Used a tq wrench this time. Missfire still there. Ok swap the coil from 4 to 1. Missfire on 1. So I went and got another coil. Good to go now. May installed dp tomorrow. I'll change the plugs and coils when I get a missfire again
