1 pair of Rockford Fosgate T3-BMW-SUB Direct Fit Subwoofers. These were used in my 2011 E90 for a little over a year running on 200 watts/driver. These are a massive upgrade in output and extension over the OEM Hi-Fi or L7 woofers.
Their efficiency is on par with the OEM Hi Fi woofers, but you will not gain anything running these off the factory amp. They will need some power to get the most out of them. With adequate power they will play much louder and much lower than the factory woofers. These are perfectly capable of being your stand alone bass drivers if you don't want to use a trunk mounted subwoofer(s) or they are also great at mid-bass if you do have a dedicated sub(s). They drop right into the factory locations and use the factory plugs. No rings or adapters needed.
