Front diff issue with new video
I'v found a video that replicates the sound that I'm having on Youtube. It is a metallic clanking sound. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

Had a similar clunk sorted recently. In my case it was caused by worn front propeller shaft joints. Diff was shot as well, but that's a different story and a whole different grinding sound.
You may want to have prop shaft and/or axles and their CV joints checked. |

The problem ended up being the front drive shaft u-joints were finished. I'm currently driving with only RWD and there is no sound. |

Be sure to use OE C clip pins. Aftermarket shafts may come with C clip pins too large and can jam between the spline teeths. The C Clips and splines have to be lubed heavily during install. You will need someone to hold the shaft straight while another use a heavy mullet to hammer it in place. Not too much force is needed though. If you need a lot of force, C-clip came off the notch. |
