Doc Fee - ED - What is appropriate?
I'm new to the new car buying game, and underway with my ED setup. Just checking on any fees I didn't know about revealed a $499 doc fee to me along with license/reg/lemon law fee at $41.
The $41 fee is negligible, but is this documentation fee acceptable considering the special circumstances of Euro Delivery (not sure if the profit differences are trying to be reconciled)? State is Georgia, well known ED dealership. Thanks for the assistance, and a search for terms "documentation" and "doc" within this forum returned only 2 results. |

Aside from the car itself, I'm only paying... destination (built into price $775), tax, title, license, and $12.50 for NYS tire recycling fee. And they mentioned paying a MACO fee if it's on the car's invoice, but it shouldn't be for ED. (my salesman was great, but had never done a Euro delivery order, so he wasn't sure if MACO applied, I said it didn't so we'll see if it shows up on the car's invoice.)

It hasn't been charged, but I was told it would be due at signing a week prior to ED pickup. I think it is a standard dealer fee but I didn't know if the amount was fair.

Some of the southern dealers have high doc fees.Since you can take redelivery at the Performance Center in SC,why not shop around for an out the door price. You can use anyone in the country......

Ughhh lovely... I already put down a deposit and got an OTD price with a note on my order receipt saying that if there is a MACO fee on this ED order I'll pay $300 more. But thats it.

NO MACO
I just got my final price from my CA on Wed. and no MACO as it shouldn't be for EDs.
