combox?
Hello all, need a little help.
I've searched these forums and have read a ton of how to's. I have determined that i don't have a ccc or a cci. My vehicle is a 2011 335is. I have the hardan/kardon setup with just the bmw professional head unit. I do have the built in phone setup with BT. My goal is just to add bluetooth with out going aftermarket. I have a aux unit that works but i getting tired of always syncing it. Thats the 20 Amazon specials. What part do i need to add? Is it just a combox and would i actually need to program it? I don't have the programming equipment but this might push me that way since i also want to do a few edits so i can roll up my windows and do the led edit. Al the advice is appreciated. |

Anything that was built after 09 does not come with pre wiring.
That means you need harnesses and antenna's in addition to the combox . Yes you need programming and it must be done with the more expensive icom cable since its a Most Bus Module. With a Pro Radio Head Unit you cannot get Music Streaming even with a Combox. |

You can add a bluetooth module that plugs into the vehicle most system and acts as the cd changer. Once it is installed you just need to code for the cd changer and it works. I recently installed it, and it works great.

I have one of those boxes and it works pretty well as far as music
quality goes the interface is a little wacky. You have to be able to program in the cdc . I don't know if you can do that on every model Nav/idrive. |

Do you have a write up? Or a video for reference? Can you control the audio from the wheel? |

Every thing you need to know and then some is in this link
to that box . Yes it has wheel controls the one thing that is kind of wonky is the method of changing sources . You have to double tap the on off button not really explained in the manual. You have to have a head unit capable of cdc. The only way I know of doing this is looking in the Rad file. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1499808 Last edited by ctuna; 03-02-2020 at 11:33 AM.. |
