Dual NAM was 2 numbers assigned to the same phone. It was a way for travelers to cut back on roaming charges is they traveled to two areas, predominately.

I was on a date decades ago with a young woman I was set up with. She had the conversation skills of a tree stump. Lots of nervous laughter and giggling, which I can't stand. And she had the nervous habit of sprinkling the snippet "and stuff" liberally throughout her speech. At one point there had been about 30 seconds of dead air, which was apparently bothering her, so she blurts out an "and stuff" out of nowhere to try to break the logjam. Um...wow, look at the time!

It had quite a bit of range. I took it on a canoe trip into the really remote Northernmost area of Minnesota. In the middle of a lake, with the lake as an antenna, I had great signal strength. My then-wife knew why that was so - maybe because it was analog...? I can't recall.

I had one who had a 1-tooth bridge that would fall out from time to time. Was trying to take her home from the club and top off her tank for her but the bridge had fallen out while we were making out in a booth, and we had to search the floor under the booth - at closing time, in the dark, with the bouncer bitching at us to hurry up - to find that goddamned tooth. It was worth it, though.
