Mounting aftermarket AE
Just wanted to see how everyone is mounting aftermarket angel eyes. Looking to modify my lci and would like ideas how to mount the aftermarket AE.

Consider going with a plug and play replacement bulb first, such as our LUX angel eyes. Its going to be a lot less $ and time. You can always pick up a set and we have a 60 day return policy in case you want to go will a full ring replacement instead

I'm installing rushcustoms v1 halos. My headlights are leaking so I figured I'd tackle the job in the process. My plan currently is to modify the existing AE cut and sand them down and gluing the aftermarket units on. With all the custom headlights out there, I was wondering how everyone are mounting their aftermarket halos, dtm units. I don't know if mounting adaptive headlights are harder than halogens or not.
Your headlights look awesome btw. |

It's much easier to mount them on adaptive headlights because the projector shroud doesn't move, only the lens inside does. Since you're coming from an e90 just keep in mind that the eyebrow hides a lot, so your plan of keeping some of the existing angel eyes would work. Just keep enough so you have a good mounting point and cut the rest. Here's a tutorial that bavgruppe created: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gx6uh7daqn...31-18.pdf?dl=0 Should give you an idea of how involved the process is. |
