Then you should certainly opt for the 30 thousand dollar watch. Any loser with a pen can sign up for a track day, it takes real class to get robbed while catching something.

Car parts will soon be gone.. A nice watch will last a lifetime. Buy once, cry once, then buy car parts thereafter.

I had this dilemma a few weeks ago, MPE and MP HAS kit and some carbon bits and bobs or a new watch.

I went outside looked at the car and thought it looked lovely as it is, so the watch was purchased.

Car parts. I feel that I could get more everyday enjoyment out of car parts over a watch.

Congrats!

As someone once told me, you can't take car parts with you wherever you go. I reluctantly bought the watch. Hadn't worn a watch in over 20 years. Never looked back. Now I've picked up another bad habit.

can you give an example of a modern bmw car part appreciating in value while being used?

a nice watch at a good price is just like having money in the bank. i really only by cpo watches from authorized dealers, its basically parking cash.

Most modern watches only depreciate from new. The few that don't are rare pieces that you probably wouldn't wear to avoid a hit on resale value.

As with most things - better to buy it 2nd hand than buy it new if you're looking to save money and maintain value. I've sold many car parts for more than I've paid for it.

I feel like every guy should have at least one nice dress watch if they can afford it. And not necessarily a Rolex or Omega. Maybe even a nice Citizen or Seiko for a few hundred. Barring that, you have your phone with a clock on it so why are we debating whether you should get car parts? Get the car parts lol.

I'm also a die-hard fan of new branded watches. I try alot of brands but my favorite is Triathlon Watch brand. You can read here why it is best and where we can buy it.

I like watches and cars but when push comes to shove, cars and their performance parts take precedence. Only two watches are on my really want list. A Rolex Submariner ND and an Omega Speedy. I already have the Sub and in no hurry to jump on the Omega, it’s not a priority. I will get it but no hurry.

On the other hand, car parts are priority for both my four wheeled toys. I leave my watches in stock condition but not my cars. The four things that I shoot for.... Faster, better handling, braking, lighter.

Totally agree with you. I have Casio t200, it's a $500 watch but how it's build and looks... You would think it's a 1000-1500 watch maybe more.
