New Stuff
A buddy of mine sent me some new stuff to try out. I have used the brushes before and love them, but the sponges are new to me. The quality and thickness is surly better than a grout sponge. It seems softer and less stiff, but other wise I am not sure why it would be worth the extra money. They are not too expensive for I think he told me it was somewhere around $15 for three, but still about double what a grout sponge costs.
I will be sure to let you guys know what I think of the sponges when I use them tomorrow to decide if they are worth the money and if they have any traits that a grout sponge fails to posses. EDIT: I used a Zymol sponge yesterday and WOW. By far the best sponge I have used to date. For starters it is the perfect size by being big enough, yet not too small. It definitely cleans well and gets all of those bugs off that were stuck to my windshield. I also like its softness and how it is pliable therefore you can get into those little crevices I never felt like it was even close to harming the paint. It hold a bunch of suds so if the sponge is clean you don't have to run back and forth from the bucket to the car if the sponge is clean. But the best part is how easy it is to extract dirt from the sponge. With my old MF sponge I felt I had to sometimes start with a new one when it was dirty because I could never get all of the dirt out of it. But even on the dirtiest part of my car I just rang it out once in my bucket and it looked good as new. I can now see why it is FMINUS's go-to wash sponge! If you are interested in purchasing one than go to autoanything.com and search Zymol. I was luck and had these sent to me, but I looked around and it seems that autoanything had the best price and free shipping. Try them out and post what you think on this thread! Thanks, Jared ![]()

Those brushes look really nice, if they're from Zymol they should work great.
I bought some boar's hair brushes from Griot's Garage and they are the only brush that I have used that haven't scratched my paint. Let us know how they work. |

I have already had this porblem. It happened on my 5 set of wheels and I just put it in the trash and grabbed a new one. I thought it was because I pushed too hard or something.

I use a painter's brush and wrap the metal around the hairs with electrical tape. I'd love to try a SW brush but everytime i free some funds for detailing supplies, I find other things that i'd prefer to spend it on like polishes, pads, ect.
I like using a grout sponge too since they're easy to handle and actually soften up a lot after some uses. I'd love to try these Zymol sponges.

Hmm.... looks good. I'd like to give one a try to see how it compares to a grout sponge for myself. I might have to look into picking up a couple.
