What do I do now, n54 rod knock

well if I was in your shoes I would probably pay a mechanic I believe its 13.5 hours to take out the engine and I would rebuild it myself over time, hopefully having other means of transport. And i would probably also upgrade it while its out, replace common gaskets that fail, turbo etc.. that what i would do at least.
