Bumping this. Are head units interchangeable? My 06 330xi has logic 7 and all the pixels are finally dead. Not looking at aftermarket at the moment. I'm wondering if they're interchangeable for the settings you can change with logic 7

If you have the pro radio there are pixel repair kits or you
can send them in .
The Radio's are programmed for the type of sound system
in your car and the relevant options that hang of the radio
so putting in a new one requires programming most of the
time.

you can do the programming with a simple K/D can cable on cars
up to 3/07 for the radio's after that you need more expensive Icom.
It's easier to replace the display .
