Reading through the posts on this forum I thought that the latest navigation DVD (2008) contained the speed cameras factory wise.
If I'm correct this is not the case and I should create my own DVD copy and add the POI's myself? Can anyone confirm this? |

Neither does the European version, at least not the original disc from BMW. Hacked versions can be found online, including instructions on how to do it yourself.
I am not expecting BMW to add this themselves |

doubt it.
The torrent is the stock 2008.1 nav disk. It needs to be "molested" after the download to add the cams.

Haven't tried yet cause the shops here were closed because of public holidays. I've found the download here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1056921
Will try this today. I already found out that the default language is incorrectly set to spanish on this disc. |

I used a Sony DVD+R at 2x. Should be ok. As I've mentioned the DVD works ok, only when selecting a location for POI it seems as if it's hanging.
I'll try building my own DVD if I find the time. |

Well it doesn't work fine in my case.
When selecting location to view information it remains on a Wait screen. If I replace the DVD with the original BMW version it displays the POI's instantly, so there's definitively something wrong. Maybe the DVD player of my car prefers DVD-R? |
