I've got a 2011 E90 with the Harman Kardon audio system. The sound is great but the driver door speaker seems to only work intermittently. When it works it sounds very weak compared to the passenger side. When the balance is set to left (driver), audio only comes through the tweeter and not the door speaker. If I bang on the door sometimes the audio will come through, but only faintly.

Is this evident of a failing speaker, bad wire/connection, or some other issue?

Thanks for the help. I'm not too electronically/audio savvy so a little push in the right direction would be great.

this recently happened to me. all i did was remove the door panel, unplugged and replugged the speaker, and that solved it.

hope it's also that easy for you.
