E90 Saloon upgrade
Hi guys,
I have read through the following link but I still have a few questions https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=641323 The Car: 2007 E90 Pre-LCI Saloon 330i/N52 (UK Spec) The Current System: CCC Navigation iDrive with the Update 1 (programmable buttons) https://mca.electricmura.ro/en/blog-...nerationiDrive Basic/Stereo with 2x Full-Range in Door, 2x Small Base Units under front seats and 2x Full-Range in Rear Parcel Shelf I want to upgrade the front speakers, to a coaxial pair in the doors, and the larger sub drivers under the seats. As far as I have read, I need to - Get the head unit recoded to allow for non-DSP output to the speakers. - Install a 3rd Party 4-channel Amp or Alpine Upgrade Amp in Boot Front Speakers: https://audiovisualworld.co.uk/eton-...-f-models.html Under Seat Speakers: https://audiovisualworld.co.uk/car-a...oofer-kit.html Am I on the right track? |

Thanks. Yes, the Eton B100T is an option for the 2-way components over the coaxials.
I have been looking and found the Alpine PDP-E800DSP, looks an ideal one-stop shop for DSP contol, integrated amplifier and streaming from the phone as well. https://audiovisualworld.co.uk/alpin...p-control.html How can I connect that to my existing BMW headunit? |

Most common one used here of this type (multi channel dsp amp)
is the audiotech/fisher followed by the Jl audio offerings now. Mosconi and most of the other major brands are attempting something like this now. I would say AudioTech fisher as the first to offer this kind of device with decent amp output power and they are still ahead on the DSP portion. The early attempt was the JBL and audison offering they had a lot of channels but it was only head unit power on each channel. The phone app is a nice feature although most of the other ones have a steaming option I don't think they have an app. |
