Need DIY instructions on changing D1S bulb in E90 335i

Anyone has done or has the installation instructions on how to take off the cover to the xenons?

I've gotten as far as TRYING to take the cover off, but I couldn't get the clips to pop off........Tried using a flathead screw driver to unclip the cover, but had no luck.

I followed the instructions to one of the DIYs on how to replace the DRLs in this forum, but I need more detailed instructions as to how to get the cover to come off in order to get to the D1S bulbs.

Any help is appreciated.....

the DRL diy should be enough. unclip the top (2 clips) then push/pull toward rear of car and cover should come off. I haven't done a D1S bulb replacement but I imagine it would be similar to the D1S diy for E92.

The cover simply pops off once you release the tabs. Once you are in, unplug the wiring harness to the bulb and undo the metal clip that is holding the bulb in place.

That's the thing, I know how to unplug the wire once I'm in the headlight housing. But I just couldn't get the headlight housing cover off for the life of me!! I don't want to pry too hard at the clips and accidentally break something........

There's gotta be a simple way of popping off that cover..........Anyone?

P.S. The DIY for changing the DRLs are not specific/detailed enough as far as telling me how to get the cover off.......It just says there's three clips that needed to be unclipped.......But HOW??

Any update to this? Those clips are so hard to get off.
