Posible valve stem seal leak e90 n52 2006 engine
Hi, today I changed my ccv or pcv system. To do this task in early n52 engines it is needed to remove the intake manifold. I changed my ccv pursuing a high oil consumption. The ccv was in fact clogged and was not working properly.
While I was there I took a look at the valves and found they where pretty dirty for a N/A engine. Are my valve seals bad or is this caused by a bad ccv? |

Do you change oil frequently? Also, lots of short trips where engine does not get up to temp. Oil temp is much different than water temp. Oil generally takes longer to heat up than water...so even though water temp is good, oil is not fully warmed up. |
