Did the alarm install today.....

and everything went great. The parts were all pretty easy to install. Didnt unhook the battery, we didnt even need to take the rear wheel off. We made a block to fit in the jacking point, and we used my friends jack, jacked the car up, just enought to access the wheel well. Started the car up, checked the Idrive for any signs of audio confirmation, and nope. Wasnt expecting it, figured that will happen when I get it activated. So turned the car off, and locked the doors, the clown nose light flashes quickly for about 5 sec. an then goes steady, but its a quick flash steady, meaning the intervals between flashes are longer then the light actually stays lite. Not like it was in my E46.
Then I did a motion sensor test, rolled the windows down, waited, put my hand in, and nothing. I thought the siren would atleast sound.
Any thoughts??

i dont think the alarm actually works until you activate even after you install it. you could try locking the car doors while sitting inside...then jump around..LoL..see if it goes off then, and you will know if the alarm is working.

thanks, actually last night b4 bed, i went out one last time, sat in the car, had a friend lock it for me, hit the unlock button on the dash, then opened the door and the siren went off.
I guess the panic feature and the motion sensor arent active till you get it activated at the dealer.
