code: 2EE6

- Started car (cold start) last night, the fan started blowing full blast. wth...
- Checked for codes on the COBB AP. Found this:

2EE6
Coolant Temperature Sensor,
Measuring range of plausibility (provisional)

- I cleared the code, turned off the car, reset ecu, turned it back on, no issues. Drove a few miles, didn't pop up again.

This has happened twice so far recently (both on cold starts). I searched the forums for any info, but couldn't come up with any relevant information (only 2EE0 pertraining to Procede users).

Help? Thanks.

Let me guess: the Coolant Temp Sensor is made by Bosch... Extremely common issue with VAG products.

Only a few Procede users have ever gotten that. And only if they run too high of a wastegate position setting. Something to do with a too high of a current draw through the cooling system circuit. Each one of those boost control solenoids draw over 1amp!

Yeah I know I was just correcting OP on the code that some people get...Since I up my wastegates to 70% I have been clear of that unusual code and the high fan kicking on..

Sorry for the misinformation, and yes, from the very few amount of threads I found here it was probably only like 5 people whoever ran into the problem. Luckily for them it was only such a small adjustment that was needed to fix the issue.

In any case, I'm running COBB so I was wondering if there were anyone else who ran into this problem.

Do you guys think 2EE6 is related to a failing water pump?

Ive had that happen before with cobb when my car battery dropped to low during flash. Try connecting a charger (20amps) to the car and reflashing

water pump + thermostat failed the next day leaving me stranded (luckily only a few hundred feet from my house).

i had it towed to the dealership and got both the water pump and thermostat replaced. haven't had an issue with it since.

I just scanned my vehicle and got the ZEE6 fault code too. A few days ago, my cooling fan kicked on high on a cold start at it was 62 degrees outside. I’m at 71k miles. Could my water pump be on its way out?
