Kids electric ride on cars

Has anyone bought their kids an electric ride on car, like a mini BMW for example? My little girl's 1st birthday is next week and I've always wanted to get her one of these but most of the cars I've seen online recommend a minimum age of 3. Has anyone got their kids an electric car younger than this and if so how have they managed with it?

She can sit up on her own, it obviously has a seatbelt to fasten her in and they come with a remote control for parents to drive them around in until they're old enough to control it themselves. I just wanna know whether it will be okay for her to use now or whether it's best to wait until her 2nd or 3rd birthday?

Ideally I would take her out to a shop for a test fit/drive but with the UK in lockdown at the minute the stores are closed so I would have to purchase online instead. Also, I'd be looking to get one with a 12V battery, how long does this usually last from people's real-life experience (websites say usually up to an hour)?

I couldn’t wait, ended up buying my son one around one year old. He loved and still loves riding in it, I just controlled it and he would hold the steering wheel. He loves the music player in it and the lights, he’s almost 2 now and loves to drive it around. I think as long as you are cautious and with her it will be a great thing. One of our favorite things to do together.

My buddy just got a Jeep for his almost two year old son. Said he needs to find a way to rig another battery up. Little man needs more seat time than an hour!

My father in law bought our little girl one when she was 1. Paid 800 bucks for it and she hates it lmao.. won’t even sit in it, but she loves her 50dollar one that I get to push around. She is 2 1/2 and still won’t sit in the electric one.

I have twins due this fall so my wife and I bought these for the announcement. I cant wait until they can sit up enough to drive them around in them. Haha.

Peg perego is quality and durable. People also mod these for more speed.

Those cars look awesome! Definitely decided to get her one now, the only issue is that most of the good cars are all sold out here in the UK without paying over the odds.

I think it has to be a licenced car I go for. The BMW M8 is stunning which I saw in store a while ago but can't justify paying so much when I can get a Mercedes AMG GTR or G63 for much cheaper.

I hated it. Kid got bored quick enough and storing the thing is an absolute pain in the arse.

I have them up there with back yard swings and jungle gyms for more hassle than they are worth.

My dad got one for my son when he was just over 1. It was remote control so he would just sit in there and hold the steering wheel while I drove it. He's about 4 now and still drives the thing around. I don't see him getting tired of it any time soon.

The drive time depends on the terrain. If we take a walk on the hills, it lasts about 20-40 minutes. It usually only lasts an hour if we're in a big lot or just driving around the neighborhood.

You need a huge paved area to make it work, grass eats battery.

We usually go for walks round the block so this should be ideal on the pavement instead of putting her in her buggy all the time.
