335 is, keep x-pipe or not, why or why not???

Vibrant resonators are going on tomorrow and the guy doing the job asked if I wanted the x-pipe removed and have it straight piped. I will still have the is sport exhaust and eventually my MMP down pipes will be back on again as well. As our cars are sort of unique with secondary cats and an x-pipe, there is not much info out there. Anyone have any insight or opinion on keeping the x-pipe or going to straight pipes?

All e92 have x pipe. That's not unique to an IS.

Just keep it. Only reason to get rid of it would be to create a much different sound.

And this is why I ask the questions. I"ve been reading that not all the e92's had x-pipes through several threads....

As for the different sound, what kind of sound are talking about? More rasp, less rasp? More throaty, or less throaty? I'm pulling the 2nd cats to calm the rasp down a bit.
