What's involved in adding PDC to non-PDC rear
Just got a E93 and now miss the PDC I had on the E90.
It is an aftermarket BMW accessory, but what is involved in the installation? Would it be better to look for a PDC equiped bumper and have it painted? Anyone have access to the installation instructions for the accessory PDC.. ALso, Acc web site says "E93 may require additional items"... any idea? I know that it will likely require a Dealer Computer software update. |

Aftermarket PDC is different than factory-installed. The sensors go in a license plate frame and the unit has its own speaker instead of hooking into the entertainment system. It's pretty straightforward... I don't think it even needs coding.
Now, retrofitting the factory PDC system would be a much bigger trick. |
