Recently the back right speaker in my e90 has gone weird. At first I heard the speaker cracking and suspected maybe the aftermarket speaker was blown, however i put in the oem and the same problem. the speaker is quiet and cracks when the cord is moved and more sound comes through. Should so tape the wire in my trunk amp to get a new connection or what? I tried tapping the other speaker and that just makes a hissing noise. What should I do?

Identify the sound system this does not mean the Head Unit.
If you have an 08 like your header says You will either have
a Hi FI or Top Hi Fi logic 7 system .
Or is it aftermarket?
The first thing to check is that there is no water on the amplifier.
This is a common problem. The amp is behind the rear wheel well
on the US Driver side under the trunk floor or the tool kit holder.

i have normal high system, non hifi. all the speakers seem to work fine, it's just the one side. Will check for water when i'm off of work

your identification of the system is nonsense.
for a US 08 its either Hi Fi or Logic7 (top hi fi)

my apologies I meant i have the non-logic 7 sound system. I just have the normal HiFi, with amp in the trunk. No fiber optics or anything
