Well, I guess you'd have to had a 2" outlet & a 1.75" outlet to know. I have.. I can tell you there is absolutely a difference in the diameter & therefore distance between the inlet & the pulleys

which inlets are they using? sometimes it could be install or product fitment problem.

having a zip tie hold it to the fan isn't that big of a deal though!
Using zip ties just reminds me of my Honda days from 15 years ago

I run vrsf 1.75 stock location inlets also and do not have to use zip ties. This is with an OEM radiator tho, if CFS then I'd definitely have to.

That's one reason why I didn't get the CSF radiator when my OEM got a leak. I was afraid the inlets would get too close to the pulleys

I run VRSF 1.75" stock location inlets and I don't have the front one zip tied. Been on for awhile with no issues.

Question for the audience /

If you had 2" inlets, would you zip tie the front inlet to the fan shroud?

1.75in is for stock turbos you need 2in for upgraded twins but can be used on stock turbos too. I have 2in mmp without zip ties and it's not been a problem for about a year now.
