has anyone successfully got this working to full functionality?

I initially had issues with the phone pairing with my car. I had to update the firmware, forgot which version now, but my phone can make calls, receive calls. However, it doesn't want to sync the phone book at all. When i receive a call, the number does appear, but the contact name isn't there, and since i haven't memorized a number since owning a cell phone, i have no idea who's calling. Additionally, when i make a call, the number shows up as *****

Anyone get the phone book to work with this phone?

I don't think it's very likely. The Ming behavior is much more like a PDA than a phone; I'm pretty sure it only supports a bare minimum of the AT command set.
