hmm I already have a new pair of turbos going in. debating if I should swap to the rear inlet to another vendor or keep the same inlet. honestly wasn't sure if it was user error or just the turbos were going to go out on me, they just seemed very very healthy before

From this pic, looks like some debris might have damaged the turbine. Maybe its the lighting in the pic but the blades at 12 and 3 oclock appear to be damaged.

Yea the pic looks like some foreign object contacted the blades. If that's the case, I don't believe a collapsed inlet would have caused that. I would reuse the inlets but just make sure you install correctly (esp that clamp) and then keep an eye on it from time to time. Or if you have the budget and want peace of mind you could probably just get new inlets, but that's up to you |

why did it take almost 50 posts and multiple pages to suggest a collapsed rear inlet when the only thing he changed was inlets....

Anymore It's almost automatic for me to see a post about no boost or underboost with inlets installed and assume it's collapsed

I agree there would have been loads of collapsed inlets if they had manufacturing defects. |
