Wonder if this kit could be easily installed by myself or should the dealer install it?
My thoughts exactly. Does anyone know how the kit is connected to the radio. I mean if it costs 269€ + the installation, it just isn't worth it...

OK. I ordered an iPod Mini and a Griffin airclick remote. Total cost 248€. I allready have a 3.5mm <-> 3.5mm cable so this way I can control the iPod even when it's hidden in the center armrest. And didn't cost too much either.

I've been thinking about this setup and would like to hear your opinions.
- iPod mini Silver (4GB) - Belkin Auto charger with audio for iPod - Belkin Mini-Stereo Audio Cable - 6' The cable is the only 3.5mm mini-stereo cable that apple store lists. Is it any good or do I have to buy the cable elsewhere? "This Belkin 6’ PRO Series Audio Cable connects a PC Sound Card, iPod, multimedia speakers, or any mini-home stereo audio source with 3.5mm jacks to multimedia speakers. Featuring 3.5mm nickel-plated plugs." Thanks in advance! Last edited by Hornet; 08-25-2005 at 05:29 PM.. |

I just used a standard male-to-male (ahem) 3.5mm jack I'd found at work in a box of cables. It had come new with some PC and never been used. Works fine!
Although the volume was very quiet, even with iPod at max. Later found out that it's set that way by a firmware revision on EU iPods which can be removed easily enough with some third party software update. |

I would take the ons from Monster.
http://www.monstercable.com/mp3/prod...r%20the%20Road It's small, gold plated, good reviews. You only need a short 3,5 cable |
