DISA INPA test help
*** UPDATE *** I was able to test another N51 and found that the Foxwell NT510 was NOT ABLE to activate the DISAs on that vehicle either. The likelihood that 4 DISA valves have gone bad must be low so, test this with INPA and not a Foxwell.
Hi e90post, I have removed the DISA valves from the intake manifold and I tried activating them with my Foxwell NT510, however neither the small or large disa is moving. I have no clue whether its the Foxwell NT510 just can't activate them for testing, or if both of my DISA valves are actually dead, what are the odds of that? They both had engine oil on them when I removed, and are stuck at the fully open position (perpendicular 90 degrees to the housing). If I try moving the flaps by hand they are solid and there's no floppiness. Is anyone around Glendora CA, 91741 (Socal) willing to help me with INPA to see if my DISA valves are dead? I can definitely compensate you for your time. Thanks, - James Last edited by AoS810; 05-15-2020 at 02:47 AM.. |

Also, I can definitely go to you with my DISAs just to plug in and test on your vehicle! My car's currently immobile with the manifold and breather hose disconnected.

Yes! It seems like the Foxwell NT510 advertises that it can activate the DISAs for testing, however that is not true. I just inspected my small/large DISAs and there was no play in the flaps and seemed solid so I just put them back in since I didn't have a way to test with INPA. Local indy shops wanted $250+ just to test them.. ridiculous.
