There is a dsp on the head unit. Do you have all the bass boost and eq cranked because that could definitely be causing a lot of distortion.

The specs on the current Joying units looks better:

Eonon - 1.2GHz / 2GB RAM / 32GB ROM

Joying - 1.8GHz / 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM

Definitely, also the joying uses an intel processor which brings value itself. The main difference with the 9" screen units is that the joying doesn't have any buttons on the left side of the screen for home and return etc. Joying does have a unit with buttons and an 8" screen. I would personally go for that if i'm getting a model specific unit. The screen resolution is also better than Eonon.
