Hey guys new to the forum here,

Awhile back i bought a 06 325xi touring that needs a bit of TLC. Now with all the Covid stuff going on what better time to start my build Thread.

Step 1.
Fix this darn Pano roof

My roof (like almost every other) Failed so the rear stopped moving by itself. I left it for a while, bought the car in winter didn't bother me at the time but now that its summer the car gets really hot and without the vent mode its a real pain.

Now the REAL problem arises when you search for a guide on how to do said job. I have purchased a rebuild kit from ECS ES#2145031 and i figured i would make a post so others maybe can follow what i have done or chime in if you have done this as well. Will post pics later

Really? Haven't heard about many failures over here, and mine works fine.

Have I just been lucky then?

From what ive been reading it fails alot where the rear portion of glass stops tilting so people have to manually tilt it back to level in order to close the roof

Either way the parts just came in today and i will provide the step by step process of how to do this (Hopefully with out breaking everything) Wish me luck

I see. I have heard of some coding the rear glass to stay shut on E61.
