xi's and wheels
Can we get a sticky or something for people with xi's who want to see what sizes of wheels will work without messing up the differential?? ok the difference is supposed to be less than 1% between wheelspin of front and back. how do you calculate this?? how does "stagger" affect wheel spin? does it spin less or something? sorry i'm a newb at xi's I'm coming from an e46 m3 so i never had to worry about this issue.

Just use the Tire Rack calculator at the top of this page to figure out whether the front and rear overall diameters are within 1% of each other. If the difference is more than 1% you risk frying the multiplate clutches in the transfer case.

Yes that would be the best way to do it.
Also, stagger does not affect the xi, nor does it affect the 1% criterion that you are striving for. Just find the proper tire sizes and you're all set.

Great idea to make a sticky sectio for xi people looking to run non OEM set ups. I recommend you actually pysically measure the tires. The wheel calculator is is mathmatically correct, however does not take into consideration manufacuring variances and variances among different manufacturers. I found out the hard way!
