323 intake manifold upgrade
I don't own one and I'm not too sure this is known but I believe the 330 3-stage manifold to be an upgrade and a way to get some more hp for you 323 guys.
The 323 manifolds around the world seem to only have the big disa's whereas only the Canadian spec ones had both disa's; Which are the same part number has the 330i/N51 models. Beyond that, the Throttle bodies, manifold gaskets and bolt spacing to the head are all identical. The difference is the runners are a smaller diameter for the 323; Should be a similar thing to the old M/S52 to M50 manifold conversion. Shouldn't even need tuning to work as it already has disas 20200623_185329 Last edited by neilvan; 06-24-2020 at 08:47 AM.. |

With the smaller displacement of the 323 engine (2.5L vs 3.0L), I wonder how much of a difference this would really make.
Any ideas?

This is pretty similar to some in the past: the M52-M50 manifold swap was around 15-20 but more of a difference/restriction. We also did the M54 2.5 to 3.0 manifold on our x3 and it was ~5-7(but much less of a difference in restriction).
As a guess I'd put it right in the middle of both; maybe to the higher end but you never know |
