Stained Miro CSL Reps
Hey guys, I need your help.
I got some nasty stains on one of my MiRo CSL reps and it won't come off with soap and water. What can I use to get it off, without taking the finish off the wheel? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Scott

What do the stains look like, do you know what caused them? Have you tried clay? If clay doesn't work I would imagine hand polishing would be necessary.

Thanks! And if that doesn't work. What's hand polishing them? What will I need to use?

I had something very similar happen to my wheel...do you use a tire cleaner/gloss?
I recently found a blackmagic tire product, called titanium. I HATE shiny tires, and this claimed to be matte, so I gave it a shot. It looked great, but there was some overspray (totally clear) that combined with my brake dust and made a huge mess after a bit of driving. I had these black rivulets that were very smooth to the touch, but almost impossible to remove with soap and water. Denatured or alcohol worked to remove the black streaks, but I still have these light colored streaks in some spots. Looks like I have a weekend project on my hands now. ![]() |

What you described above is EXACTLY what the black stuff on my wheels look like. Plain alcohol will remove the stains? Will it remove the finish?

Feel free to try the P21s, but if it's what I had, it won't do a thing, since that's what I tried after soap and water. |

I have had a similar problem on a clients vehicle before. Here is what I did to get the stain off:
1. CG Citrus Wheel Cleaner (let is sit for a bit and then agitate with a soft brush) 2. CG CWC (come back and wash again with a soft brush) 3. CG Ball Buster and a light polish (i ended up doing to to all the wheels because it brought back a TON of shine) 4. CG JetSeal 109 for protection Granted this is a long process and takes some energy, but if you really care about your wheels and want to prevent this from happening in the future; its a great idea!
