SSTT and Down Pipes on V81

This is the setup I'll be running as soon as my car is delivered. Does anyone have an idea if this will be in the "safe" zone?? Anyone already running this setup??

At this time, I don't think anyone knows what the "safe zone" is. And exactly how it is quantified (fuel consumption, wastegate duty%, etc,.) And if an absense of CELs necessarily means that you are, in fact, in the "safe zone".

As far as I've heard and read, down pipes do not work with the SSTT. I remember reading that the SSTT is hard capped at 11psi max, this pretty much negates the use of adding DP's. Downpipes would ideally be suited for the JB2,X,H, Procede, AA etc. etc. The only things that I've heard complimenting the SSTT are IC, Intake, full catback exhaust, not sure of the oil cooler.

Personally I would not add DP's to a SSTT tune. One of the nice things about the SSTT is the ease of install/removal. There are far better tuning methods available for people who want to do more then just a simple, quick upgrade.

SSTT is not capped at 11 psi. Typically the unit will give about 3.75lbs more boost over stock under most cicumstances. If you are running high octane it might give you a bit more depending on ambient air temps.

As far as testing goes, Shiv is correct that not seeing CELs means nothing. That is why we tested using the fasta adaptations mix screens on the new diagnostics software. The interesting thing to watch will be what happens when you change fueling for higher boost targets than we chose for the turbo tuner.

Are you referring to the v81 DME?

The interesting thing is actually how we go about doing so.
