Myriad of headlight issues
So I recently finished my custom headlights. Now the one side is throwing and error "Adaptive Headlights!" First I thought that one of the connectors came undone. Once I opened it up all were in place, but a number of wires had the insulation crumbling off. I believe that a couple of the wires must have short circuited. I have since coated them heavily in "liquid electrical tape"
So there are 5 connections associated with the projectors. 1) the hid bulb (not the problem, lights fine) 2) green connector (runs the hi/low shield, not it) 3) the small black plug that goes to a Hall effect position sensor tells the car where the light is pointed. 4) wide white one controls left and right movement 5) the 4pin connector in the back that controls the up and down. (I don't think it's this one since I didn't touch that one) Now I swear that during my problem solving it moved up and down, but now it won't. So I'm thinking that maybe the position sensor shorted. Has anyone ever dealt with this. Can I clear the error with inpa? Maybe that will reset it? |
