Carly 2011 328i xdriv

Hey all looking for some help. I got the carly pro version and the newer carly adapter and have my angel eyes turned on as my DRL. Was wondering why they/re dull though the rings dont illuminate all the way around. At night time they look great though! during the day though if you gave a quick glance you wouldnt notice they were on.

There is a setting in Carly for the Angle eyes output levels as DRL.

You may need to adjust that in the FRM module.

Yeah you can mess with the output level. IIRC there are several places that required attention, but its all right in front of you and it says which ones. Just make sure you go down the whole list and read what it says under those modules.

I have the brightness settings on the highest they'll go any nothing. Maybe im missing something, someone at my work told me it was because mine has the halogen headlights? They look really great during the evening or night time though

Yea our halogen AE's are pretty weak. I also coded them to run as DRL via Carly recently. Lux makes an LED upgrade for the halogen lights I think there's another option, but I always forget it.

If you're just talking about how much light gets to the outside rings, its the design. It tries to accomplish it through a solid glass piece acting like a fiber optic. It does an "ok" job of it so it looks good at night, but in most light the outside looks dimmer. You also wont be able to tell well unless you're viewing 15' back.

bluewater328 I definitely see what you're talking about. During the day you can barely tell they're on but at night or early in the morning they look amazing!

309xi I've been looking for the halogen ones but i cant seem to find them.

HPB is the other one a site vendor sells, but I haven't looked into whether those work with our halogens.
