How to get rid of track grime (tar/ rubber)

I just went to the drag strip last weekend, and I found that my right rear fender is covered with spiderweb-like tar/ rubber from the track.. Any suggestions on getting these off? I tried a wet microfiber, but didnt work out to well, I'm thinking claybar? I have never used a claybar before...

First of all make sure you wash your car before hand to avoid the possibility of causing any marring by rubbing dirt into the paint with the microfiber. For tar you might want to try a product like Stoner's Tarminator or some type of body solvent, I found that clay isn't the best solution for tat from my experience.

WD40 and any cloth.
The tar/rubber comes off right away.
Make sure you do not use any water.

Would goo gone work too? or do you recommend WD40 instead? Should I wash and let it dry off before I work it or try it first before washing...

After the tar/rubber has come off after using WD40, wash your car.

I don't use goo gone cause the acid in it cause some serious damage to your clearcoat.

WD40 is a lot safer, considering it can be used as a lubricant.

What should I use to get the tar off after I've applied the WD40? MF towel?

Spray the WD40 on to any cloth, and make sure you rub the tar spot.
It should come off. Then just wash the car after.

Or you can spray the spots and then let it sit for a bit, and rub it off.

Goo Gone is good, but I noticed it thins out the clear coat on your car.
