My style 185s have some curb rash and some staining that make them unsightly. They are 17x8 ET34.
I found a cheap set which I cannot figure out the style number for, reportedly off of a 2014 328i. From what I can google, it seems they are 17x7.5 ET37. My current tires are 225/45R17 Michelin RFTs (I know). What difference would I see with that swap? |

No. It'll look a little funny having the wheels sunk in more than they are now, but you can fix that with spacers if it bothers you.

10mm would bring them to right around where your current wheels are since the new ones are 9.3mm sunk in.
You're going to want hub centric spacers, and you're going to need longer wheel bolts, so buy the spacers as a kit with longer bolts. Don't cheap out and buy random spacers, if they aren't machined right, they could induce vibrations in the car and steering wheel. With that said, you're going to want to search spacer thickness fitment on your year E93, 10mm hub centric spacers could be an issue with the length of the hub and the spacer fitting properly. Unless you buy used, 4 spacers and longer bolts will run somewhere around $2-300 if you shop around, so consider that when pricing the wheels you're buying. Might make more sense to buy wheels with the right fitment and avoid spacers altogether. |
