The initial title has been corrected. To distinguish from this (I believe):

Yes, VERY different meaning now that the title has changed.

FWIW, cats don't really kill huge numbers of local birds, even feral colonies - that came from a very biased and flawed study, and has been puffed up by the Audubon folks. Australia has a problem b/c their native species don't even know what a cat (or most any other predator) is, so most of them are protected and going extinct. But do keep them inside, because the life expectancy of outdoor pets is only a fraction of the normal span due to predators, cars, etc.

I have rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks running rampant through my yard because there are no natural predators left. Release the hounds! I mean cats

I'm not, that's what the title says, and it's pretty mundane saying that cats are serial killers, that's what they were born to do, so it makes more sense thinking there's someone going around killing cats.

EDIT: I didn't see the original "serial killer" title, but still, my observation stands.

^This

I've seen foxes, bobcats, coyotes, fishers, etc in my backyard, and lots of "missing cat" signs around the area. I think I know where they went...
