I did a quick search and didnt find soooo - Lets create a list of the best things to code that we can do ourselves without MODs.

No code in this thread - I will add ones to the main list that I can verify after searching. Happy to add multiple lists for different models

The end goal is to have a sticky that peeps can use as an easy access to know its possible and then go search the solution.

I`ve got a 2008/9 335i e93 - Owned it for a month and a bit

So far I've found and done

• Halos as DRLs
• DRLS sensitivity
• Gearbox to Alpina (and the new version (older code but discovered after the 835 flash)
• Digital MPH - You can have accurate or matching speedo (speedo is min +3% as per gov regulations)
• You can do roof down from key fob
• You cant do roof up from key fob if software has been updated from factory (as far as i can tell)

Couple of other bits on my list which I can add if this thread gets traction.

Some of this may be US-specific/standard in Europe but I have (in addition to above):
-double flash hazards
-disable tail lights on with DRLs
-enable cluster backlight with DRL (only because I have an upgraded cluster with red faces that's easier to read with the backlight)
-remove legal disclaimer in iDrive
-windows up/down, sunroof open/close, mirrors fold with key fob (hold lock to open, hold unlock to close)
-disable seat belt chime
-remove window safety feature (windows auto-up/down while door is open)

Corning lights disabled
Blink to pass at 4,5,6 blinks
No chirp alarm when enabled/disable
Analog speedo fix
Adjusting MPG reading (not coding but useful)
