I have been using a K-Dcan Cable for all of my diag/coding needs but am looking at purchasing an ICOM with ICOM B to update MOST systems etc. The laptop that has all of my software in it does not have an ethernet port so to connect the ICOM, I would need a USB to Ethernet Adapter.

Has anyone done this?

Should I find a used laptop with an ethernet port and set it up with BMW Tools, ISTA + etc instead?

Any recommendations for an adapter that works?

you can buy a usb to athernet adapter, I used one from the tplink brand, it is very cheap and works well, the port configuration is very simple, it is usually configured automatically.
