BMW forum man... a teacher here is like a unicorn.

I do have a few teacher friends in the usa and also here in Finland. The things is, even with the guy who got a kidney transplant just 5 months before this started, theure not worried about themselves. They've had all sorts of germs around them for years. Covid scares them since they fear their pupils will lose people the kids love and need in their lives more than their teachers.

Teachers prolly should be the ones buying bimmers. They deserve them more often than most of us.

Since I agree teachers should have Bimmers, but the lovely tax payers of Arizona do not, I went ahead and bought my wife her x5

Since my son is only STUDYING to be a teacher, I bought him a used Toyota Yaris. Once he completes his education, I'm considering the X5 for the wife as well

When we found out we were pregnant with twins (wife already teaching) we traded her e46 330 for her first X5(e53) and ran that until it had 187,000 miles on the odo, then she reluctantly let me get her the e70 but refused me the m tax. All that shared to say, she now refuses to let our daughters drive anything but an x5 when they begin terrorizing the streets in 4 years... oh what have I done

Its a very safe, practical and enduring vehicle. I think you would be quite good with that decision

I want nothing to do with an X, well except for the 1-3 weekends we *MIGHT* go to the cabin when there is a possibility of snow. We have no childrens we need to be hauling around, and she certainly won't let me coach.

"But what is we want to take x and y with us to dinner?"
"They fit perfectly fine in a nice sedan."

Oh yes, been there. Wife HAD to have 3rd row for the just in case situations as well. Didnt want an m, but wanted to spend thousands more to find a rare occurrence of third row seating x5's. IIRC its single digit production.

Eh, the x5 will likely grow on you but I can understand you not wanting one. I have used it to tow occasionally and go to the mountains as well. Better than a pickup in all aspects for me. Hope you find what you are looking for!

Just divorce her. You clearly hate her. Or feed her to the coyotes, that's more pleasant than driving that.

I'll work on my rhetoric.

It would be a hell of a lot cheaper to divorce her!

But alas, the odds of finding two women in this entire lifetime willing to settle on THIS might be asking too much...

I'm still proud of that description, considering I've never had cheetos.
