Another E92 on dimisa tips

I just have my dimisa tips installed. I agreed that the 4" tips make the car looks more mean. However, the install didn't go very well! From the pic, it can tell that the left tips is stick out too more than the left tips and both are stick out too much for my taste. I complaint to the shop that weld it for me but the guy told me that once it welded, he can't do anything! He suggested the Dimisa tips should have some leaf spring inside the tip that help to position it like most of the Honda tips did. So should I go find another shop to correct the position of the tips or I am stuck now?

That's BS that the shop gave u man... i just got my Dimisa tips put on today, and i told the installer where i wanted the tips to line up and he made it happen for me. He even let me stand there while he welded them on to make sure i was ok with the fitment. He welded one tip on a little further out than i wanted and removed it and re-welded it.

I'll have pics up in a few days once the weather clears up here

I have my tips out a little more than the OEM ones...Its basically different taste...SOme like it flushed and some like it to stick out....I think they look okay to me, but thats my opinion and what really counts is yours!!

looking good!

i like to mimic the mounting style of OEM tips, but it truly is a matter of taste. you can do them anyway you like really.

mine protrude a tad further than stock tips, the different styles and tastes are really varied.

Your tips sit a little too low and stick out too much. You're the one pay the bill, so the shop should do whatever they can to make you happy. My shop spent at least an hour to line-up the tips before they started the welding.

It's not even noticeable. I wouldn't stress it. IMO these tips are too big for this car. Looking forward to a smaller version.

Just because it didn't install properly so it looks too big for the car. If it can move back for a inch or so and make it more flash with the bumper, it will look prefect for our bimmer. Here is the thread that make me and place the order on the tips immediately! Also need to give to Dismisa customer service and fast shipping.

Ohh now I see. The left one definitely sticks out more then the right one. You should get that fixed. It looks awful.

I asked my installer to move the tips ~1/4" further out than the stock tips as well. Love the more aggressive stance.
