Yeah I agree. I wish MHD updated with burble/crackle on upshift/downshifts like some cars have, instead of random burbles.

I drove a 2016 Mini Cooper S recently with a Valved Exhaust system and ot sounded great on upshifts/downshifts, even though it didn't have anywhere near the power of a tuned N54.

Okay buddy, you've just said literally the same thing in your second paragraph that I said. I'm 22 and people in this age group we're into it.

Honestly though I don't get why everyone hates it. Like when revving your car, just the exhaust is kinda boring, if you can add gunshots and louder explosions into that it sounds pretty fucking sick to us. I'm ofcourse not saying to burple for like 5 seconds straight every time you let go the gas. But when flooring it and letting go the gas hearing a loud gunshot is really satisfying. Again, not for 5 seconds straight like 0.5 or 1 second. Also when shifting manual WOT it sounds so good as well.

It's the cats not the car. Mine does exactly what a Cooper does on downshifts and up shifts.

Catless downpipes, Bomiz valved exhaust.

That's why nobody likes these burble tunes.....because guys go full retard with them. A slight burble might sound a little "sporty".....but pops and bangs that sound like a shotgun as you drive around town and rev the shit out of your car over and over screams "hey!.....look at me!! Please!!!! I didn't get enough attention when I was a kid and/or I'm only 5ft tall......look at me!!!!!"

Also N54 vehicles weren't designed from factory with burbles,

Probably causes some harm to the Cats in the long run.

If your cattless probably doesn't matter,

Where did you get that information from?

My stock file has a 2 second burble in sport mode and one second on drive.

I've already cut down the 2 burble to 1.5 and going lower next time I feel Like writing a new tune.

Read about it in a old thread, probably reduces life of cats, assuming your catted that is.

Some said it can possibly harm turbos or seals in long run too.

No idea if either are proven to be true, but since the car wasn't designed with burbles from factory, probably better to have them off?

I'm not a fan of burbles, so I have them completely of anyway.

If you have the bmw power pack, you get burbles from the factory, not as long or loud as mhd but they are there
