bumper to side of wall.

Ok well I am pulling my car up to my driveway like i do every day for the last 2 years but I have to pull it as close as possible to the garage as we are having construction and a truck parks behind me. I came to close even going at a very very slow speed and tapped the corner of the column between the 2 garage doors. there is now about a 1 inch in length piercing in my bumper. It hasn't actually pierced it but pushed in as though someone took a point to it. Best way to handle it ?

not sure if this a detailing or body work question, you'd get better answers if you posted a picture of the damage.
